Molecular Diagnostics Kits
ALS Life Sciences Portugal develops and manufactures rapid, reliable, and easy-to-use molecular diagnostic kits for the food & feed, environmental and clinical industries. Using PCR and LAMP technologies we provide kits for human diagnosis (CE-IVD), allergen detection, meat speciation and food & water pathogen screening (RUO). All kits provide a complete set of reagents for the qualitive detection of specific targets with high sensitivity.
DNA/ RNA - Oligo Synthesis
Oligonucletides are short, single-stranded synthetic DNA or RNA sequences that are used in a variety of molecular biology applications such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR), DNA sequencing and molecular cloning. Our oligonucleotides are produced in ISO 8 cleanrooms according to the clients’ specifications and with quick turnaround times. All oligos are verified by ESI mass spectrometry prior to shipping ensuring the quality of each synthesis. We offer a wide range of modifications and different synthesis scales ranging from 0.05 µmol to 1 µmol for oligos of up to 100 bases.

Nucleic Acid Extraction & Stabilization
Through our collaboration with Invitek Molecular we offer DNA and RNA extraction kits based on silica-based spin columns and magnetic beads for both manual and automated systems. Virtually any sample type is compatible such as whole blood, serum, plasma, saliva, nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs, sputum, faeces, urine, tissue, bacterial culture and others.
