ALS Life Sciences Portugal is part of the ALS Group since 2015, a global leader in technical and laboratory services for the Human and Animal Health, Food Safety and Environmental Control markets. In Portugal and Spain, ALS has a team of 715 people providing laboratory services, consultancy, auditing, training, inspection, and development of IT solutions tailored to each client. ALS has also a highly qualified R&D department, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, allowing the development of innovative products and services. ALS offers a wide range of innovative services, presenting itself as a partner of choice to improve the efficiency of our clients’ organizations, and anticipating the development of technical solutions that respond to future needs.
ALS is certified according to standard NP4457, which establishes the necessary requirements for an effective, assertive, and objective Research, Development, and Innovation Management System (IDI). The continuous search and production of knowledge with a strong research component, are a prominent feature of ALS Life Sciences Portugal, being recognized within the ALS group as a reference entity in the field of R&D and a hub laboratory in Molecular Biology.
Since its foundation, ALS Life Sciences Portugal has a relevant history of investment in R&D and the continuous commitment to highly qualified staff and aims to maintain and consolidate this strategic vision. As a result of this vision, ALS inaugurated in 2020 a production plant for molecular biology kits and reagents working in compliance with the ISO13485 standard. The current product catalogue includes custom oligonucleotide synthesis, IVD kits for human diagnostics and PCR kits for the food and enviro industries, with more than 30 products.
